Steamboat Skating Summer Camp
Ages
Skaters must have completed Basic 1, 2, and 3 in the City of Steamboat Springs Learn to Skate Program to be eligible to participate in the Steamboat Skating Summer Camp.
When
Summer camp will be the week of June 9th-13th at the Howelsen Ice Arena. There will be full day and half day options based on skill level.
Basic 4-6 half day camp
12:00p-4:15p
Advanced full day camp
7:30a-4:15p
Schedule
Each day will be divided up to help skaters develop in all areas pertaining to figure skating. Skaters will spend time on and off the ice. On ice classes will include spins, skating skills, jumps, power, edges, and more. Off ice classes will include stretching, endurance, strength, power, dance, etc.
Cost
Early-bird costs for the weeklong camp are below:
Basic 4-6 half-day camp: $325
Free skate levels FULL DAY Camp: $475
All pricing will go up by $25 on May 1st, 2025
Extra Costs
All full-time skaters should bring a lunch and snacks for each day. Skaters should also bring their own water bottles.
Half-day skaters will need snacks and water bottles as well.
Performance
On Friday, June 13th from 4-5pm, we will host an exhibition for parents to see what their skater has learned throughout their camp experience. All registered skaters are encouraged to participate.
Dress Code
All skaters are encouraged to wear tight fitting clothing with gloves and a jacket while on the ice. Skaters will also need to bring athletic clothing and tennis shoes for all off-ice training classes.

This weeklong camp will help skaters of all ages and skill levels improve their skills and their overall athleticism.
